If You Only Knew

If you only knew how empty I feel inside you wouldn’t ask why.

If you knew the pain I endured,
I’m convinced I can reassure.

Look inside and tell me what the hell it is you see,
hopefully someone out there can show me the real me.

If you only knew…

I feel completely numb, completely neutral, I feel nothing at all…

I do have the smallest bit of worry inside,
that everything is pouring out faster than I can catch my breathe.

That’s when my anxiety kicks into overdrive.

I slowly begin to clinch and cry
I feel like I’m in a box locked tight.

It’s like a train is running over my chest,
I’m misguided from the light.

Head starts to spin, eyes start to swell.

Feels like in getting beat with a pipe,
Like maybe every rib inside might break.

How can I mend this heart ache.

Nothing can fix the damage inside and
I’ve been trying to hold back everything..

If you only knew how the panic creeps in and breaks me down.

That’s the point you have no idea what I feel, this cold world is very much real.
